When designing your space, one of the most relevant aspects to think about is your colour palette. Colours have the power to affect your mood and influence how comfortable you feel in a space, so it's highly important to make sure you take this into account when dedicating specific colours for each room. For this blog post, we created a round-up of our favourite colour palettes, perfect for any interior design space. Colour schemes that were designed to create harmonious and aesthetically pleasing results that you can adapt to your own different spaces. But first, let's start with a little bit of colour psychology to really understand how colours have the power to affect us all. Colour PsychologyBelow, you can see how different colours evoke different feelings and emotions in us all. How they have the power to influence thoughts and decisions- which we usually see so clearly in the world of Branding and Marketing. The same goes for Interior Design. For example, a grey, black and white palette will give us a balanced, neutral, timeless, elegant, and powerful space. While a mixture of blue, yellow and white can communicate a sense of stability, integrity, security, growth, freshness and balance. How to actually use this to create your spaceWhen crafting your space, you need to think about how you want to feel in each area of your house. If you're in the bedroom, do you want something calming and relaxing (a soft grey, white palette)? Or do you want something edgy and sophisticated (a black/grey/brown palette)? For your Kitchen, do you want a pop of colour that gives you energy (say blue, green or yellow), or do you want something that's filled with light (white and light colours)? These are the type of questions you should ask yourself when thinking about each area of your house. Some key info to take into consideration here: - Should you use the same colour palette throughout the whole house? This depends on your taste- if you want a house that is harmonious in its entirety, then you can stick to one palette and just give it different pops of colour with your decor. Or, if you love a more eclectic style and truly believe in energies, then you can consider each space's needs to choose how to colour it. 11 Colour palettes to inspire your spaceWhen it comes to designing our projects, we not only think about the design and layout of the space but about how we can create balanced spaces that leave the homeowners feeling happy and content.
