Last week we had the opportunity to join one of our partners, Consentino on the presentation of their new line, Pietra Kode. This was a great opportunity to touch base on their current and upcoming lines and chat about their sustainability efforts to make their products better and better as the company evolves. With a guided tour around their headquarters, we had a first look at their amazing new textures and materials, worth sharing with anyone who is looking at building or renovating their home. Here's an overview of this new range. Pietra Kode Recoded by Dekton for tomorrow’s architecture, Pietra Kode is a new collection by Daniel Germani that embodies Vitruvius’ principles for a perfect city through three series: Vicenza Kode, Travertine Kode and Ceppo Kode. Through them, the designer takes on centuries of classicism but connects it to a modern look, perfect for the architecture and design of the now and future. With beauty, strength and functionality being the primary guidelines behind this line, Dekton reinterprets three classic stones: Vicenza stone, Travertine marble and Ceppo di Gré. Elegant designs packed with individual nuances, colour and textures which can create a sensory experience for any space. Vicenza Kode Dekton reimagines the classic Vicenza stone, using the material that brought to life the villas and palaces of architect Andrea Palladio in the Cinquecento. Travertine Kode Dekton’s ultra-compaction process recodes travertine, the stone from which Rome was built, into a new technological vision of the material that made classical art shine and inspired Renaissance architecture. Ceppo Kode Dekton re-interprets the beauty and character of the Ceppo di Gré stone to design spaces that inspire us and connect us with nature. Sustainability Dekton offsets 100% of their CO2 emissions over the entire product life cycle, being the only Cradle-to-Grave Carbon Neutral surface on the market. How to use it on your project This range of materials can be applied on a series of surfaces, interior and exterior, on your home of even commercial spaces. At IDW&D, we have worked with a variety of project where we have incorporated Dekton in kitchen design, from walls to smaller scale details or worktops.
