Terms & Conditions
Initial Quote
We are happy to provide an initial estimate and/or drawing for free, under the guidelines that this includes 2 hours of allocated design time.
Estimates are sent out to clients for an initial guide of cost based on the initial drawing.
Design Deposit
Once you have decided to proceed with the enquiry, additional design time will then be allocated and at this point we require a design deposit.
This value of the Design Deposit will then be taken off the final quote cost and should you decide to not commission the manufacture of the work you are entitled to keep the initial designs for your own purpose.
The Design Deposit is a flat rate of 5% of the guide price.
Once design are agreed, a quote finalising costs will be issued with drawings to be signed off by the client. A project deposit will be due at this point as confirmation of the order and production time allocated in the workshop.
Payment Terms
40% of the cabinetry and worktop cost is due as a deposit and confirmation of order.
25% of the cabinetry and worktop cost as the production deposit when full production is commenced in the workshop.
25% immediately before agreed delivery date.
Final 10% balance due on completion
Appliances - 100% of the appliances cost is done on order
You will be able to view the cabinets prior to delivery, set out our workshop before installation.
Payments are accepted by Bank Transfer, Bank Details are shown on all invoices.
Interest will be charged at 2.5% above current bank rate on late payments.
Estimates and quotations are subject to fluctuations in materials costs.
Optional additional charges
Rendered drawings of your project can be produced for an additional cost. This Fee is based on the scale of the project and the number of images.
Variations form the contract and additional works will be quoted and charged for separately.

We will only use the information that we collect about you lawfully (in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998) and it will be held securely in accordance with our own internal policies and the law. We collect information about you for two reasons; firstly to process your order and secondly to provide you with the best possible service. We will never collect sensitive information about you with out your explicit consent. The information we hold will be accurate and up to date to the best of our knowledge. Under no circumstances will we pass your information on to a third party that is not directly involved with your transactions with us.
Delivery
Ian Dunn Woodwork and Design will endeavour to comply with time schedules requested by the client. We have an approximate lead-time for delivery of goods from receipt of order, which we will estimate as part of the design process. The company is not responsible for any materials or specialist products sought from third parties for example worktops, appliances and mechanisms, which are delayed.
Lead and delivery times are estimated at the time of design but set only when an order is confirmed and payment made. At this stage and construction and fitting can be scheduled.
Ian Dunn Woodwork & Design will protect our products on site whilst fitting is carried out. However to damage by others on your site will be chargeable.

Timber products are natural and subject to movement and variation in colour, grain and character. Therefore in the course of time some changes may occur.
Appliances
The client should take out any appliance guarantees separately with the appliance company, using the appropriate paperwork provided on delivery. The invoice from Ian Dunn Woodwork and Design for these appliances act as a point of sale invoice for guarantee purposes.
Cancellation Policy
Once a project is booked and deposit paid, cancellation is only acceptable if both parties (client and Ian Dunn Woodwork and Design) have agreed in writing. Also upon the condition that the client will reimburse any costs for company expenses, damages and losses resulting from the cancellation.
Marketing
The company may use images of finished projects for promotional purposes, unless you notify us otherwise in writing. These images would be taken by the company and would not include any members of the household. There would be no reference to the clients’ name.
Title of Goods
Title of the manufactured goods provided by Ian Dunn Woodwork and Design does not pass to the client until the full price of the contract is paid.
